I am looking for a good rear backing plate for my 68 AMX 20 rear end. I see there are a lot of backing plates for amc 20 axles for jeeps on ebay, Are they the same as backing plates for an AMX. With all the members that have changed over to rear discs, there must be some backing plates for a 68 AMX out there some where.

What is wrong with yours? You might have better luck finding backing plates by posting in the wanted section.

I am rebuilding a rear end out of a roll over. The housing has been straightened but one axle, drum and backing plate are all toast. I will post something in the wanted section.

If you only need one, what side. I sold one of a pair that I had I would need to look to see what I have left.

I am in need of the Left backing plate and drum. I can get a drum most anywhere but not so easy to find the backing plate.

Jeeps used bigger drums. Finding a 5x4.5" pattern drum in Jeep diameter will be a problem. I might get a spare set of backing plates but it won't be until May.
