Start out with the carb wide open and set trans linkage to about 3/4 of its travel. That will get your shift points close. Take it out and fine tune shift points to your preference.

what kinda carb you got? on the straight 6, lokar cables work in a backwards sort of way if you don't have or are not using the stock mechanism. it may or may not be the same for a v8.

i'd say that makes things easy (but what do i know?) cause they make application specific kits for that carb that are fairly inexpensive. do what you want, but lokar is prolly the answer.

I have a Lokar cable on my AMX with a 727 trans works great,...made a bracket for it....have it set to WOT as we drag race and I want it to shift at max rpm's......

If you have TF trans do NOT drive the car before you hook up the kick down linkage....you will damage the the Trans.....
