Congrats guys.......I also race a Gremlin but did not do so well this year......which one is fastest.....yours

Gina has the fastest Gremlin, it runs 11.6.
Both here and mine has a 360.
My best is 12.4, but now I have another motor, and it runs 12.6 / 101.
The Pacer has GM engine... (454) but they are collecting parts for a 401.
And a nice gremlin you have!!
What type of engine and trans??

Mildly built 401 with a 727 trans 2500+ TC .. 410 rear gears.....the track here is 2700...feet corrected elevation in the summer time is above 5000 feet most of the time.....at sea level should run in the low 11.80's .....fastest so far has been the 12.05 @ 113.2 mph.....

That is a good combination!
I will have a 401 some time, but they are wery expensive here in norway.
My 360 is not as stong as the one I had, and I am not sure about the cam I have.
That`s because I dropped a valve in my good old engine so I got my sisters engine now.
But my drivetrain is wery strong now. Before I had the original 998 and a 1000+ converter, but it was a lot of problems whith the 998. Think the car is to heavy, and the track too good. Burned clutshes all the time. Had a manual shift kit and HD clutshes, but still lots of problems.
So I changed to a TH-400 from a Jeep, and 4000 stall. Lowered the 60 ft from 1.9 to 1.70 , but lost 6 miles in top speed.
Olso got a Commanche rear axle that have one- piece axles and installed a LockRight locker.
Maby next year I will change to a mecanical cam, but need roller rockers and grind the valveguides to get the clearence. But still can`t go faster than 12.0. if I want to do that I need a roll-bar, SFI-dampner, 4 pt seat belt etc. Do not want to modify that Gremlin to mutch, it`s a 76 V8 Gremlin, only made 826 of them I think.
But now the car is garaged, 5 months to the next race...
