Are the speedo gears and housings universal on these 904 trannies?

I'm missing one, but I'm not sure of the year on the tranny.

Gracias

Sorry, no, they are not. Gears are selected based on tire size and rear drive ratio. The parts manual lists the combos. Check with Kennedy American, they have a few listed.

The housings are the same but the driven gears are different. Chrysler's only have one drive gear which is machined into the shaft. Here's a calculator to figure out what driven gear you need with tire size and rear gear ratio. http://www.tciauto.com/tc/speedometer-gear-calculator
Here's a place that sells the gears and housing. http://www.transmissioncenter.net/speedometer_calibration_______va.htm
