Watching the Mecum Denver auction and they showed a shot of the auction car area and there was a R/W/B Machine in the mix.
Did a search and found this: https://www.mecum.com/lot-detail/DN0615-215594/0/1970-AMC-Rebel-Machine/4-Speed/ They say "Hurst pistol grip shifter". All the AMC autos got that shifter and I don't believe Hurst had anything to do with it. They also say "Authentic dealer-added Cragar wheels". First I've heard of that. Wonder if there will be any interest in it. -Steve- |

That car is too modified. But if we translate "Seller Speak" no where does it say the shifter handle is original. And "back in the day" I'm sure a buyer could request the service department to purchase and replace the wheels for shiny chrome ones. Who knew what Machine wheels would be worth today? All in all for a Machine "purist" this wouldn't be the car to buy.
