I bought a 1970 Javelin and from what I've looked up online it should have a m11b but I can't find any data plate. Are there any give aways when looking at it tonknow what it is without a dataplate? It has a 360 in it and also will not shift into high gear. j took a pic of the oilnpan but can't see how to post it. Any help would be appreciated.

The rebuild kit is basically the same across all units, there are usually a few seal options to cover all possibilities except maybe the output shaft seal.

You will probably have to pull the pan for a better id, I reckon the 11b and 12 will have 12-1 cast into the top of the case and the m11 will have 11-1. As far as I can tell the 11b is an M12 with the small driveshaft yolk, probably some other subtle differences inside. 11b and 12 have the 2 bolt front band servo, the M11 has only one bolt.

I was told that the trans is a Crysler 904. If anyone else could confirm.

That's not an M11B that's for sure!

Yes 904, the BW transmissions have a rectangular pan with the dipstick tube coming out the side.
