Boats typically run opposite of car style....or if boat had twins, could be one of each. Boats did run same as car also, depending on application.

Yep, I got lucky. The one in my car ran the right way. Although the only basic difference is the cam. I did have a 250 one that ran the opposite way though.

I have sold the intake and carb, also the exhaust manifolds.  The rest is free for the taking if anyone wants to arrange for pick up. Southwest Michigan

I just saw your post. I happen to have a 1959 AMC 250 for sale. I'm in North Texas, so shipping could be costly. If interested let me know, as I have connections in the trucking industry, and I may be able to save on shipping. If you only want the block, I will remove the transmission and motor mounts, and other accessories. I prefer to leave the short block intact, since I don't have the energy for a complete teardown. Make me an offer and I'll be in touch.
