	Was looking around for a t56 to swap into my AMX and found a 1992 Viper trans. Punched in the part number to find out the ratios and specs. Came up wth http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borg-Warner_T-56_transmission. The link had an identifications chart of most OEM applications. SHOCK!!! Was only torque rated for 330lb/ft. A warmed over 360 or 401 could destroy the box. A .50 sixth gear would probably work nice with 4.56 gears but if your using that gear in the car, you have more the 330 ft/lb of torque. What may have been a good deal, could have been a disaster. Hope this may help someone considering this swap.

	Bike, It really depends on the t56. There are some that can take more torque, by far. Just are gonna cost you more. For instance: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/awr-tuet11009 Also, there are plenty of guys that are running t5's behind 390's and have been for years. t5's are rated for about the same torque. ****DISCLAIMER- I am by no means an expert! In fact I am at the same stage as you, researching as much as I can.
