I have been following your post on what you have done to yours and have had to do the same to mine, all new bushing and ball joints, motor and trans mounts. all mine where still original from when the car was made, redoing the hood release, and try to find a rear hatch solenoid. I do have a question how do you get the rear quarter window trim back in, I'm replacing a rusted and broken set and can't figure out how to get the trim reinstalled and was trying to find a thread about it

I am lucky in a way, I haven't had to attempt that yet.  You should point that question at racerkilla (Ronny), I'm thinking he's popped out a couple of the rear-quarters doing a restoration.  He's also re-popped the rear-quarter louvers in the past and might still have a set for sale should you need them.

the rear louvers would be nice but I also need the one for the rear window some how I went from having a full louver to having three pieces of it, I will find him and ask him about the trim and louvers

Hi Team,

The GT is gone from my garage, but is being taken care of by the new owner quite well!!

I am on to my next hobby, boating, and finally found a boat....I'll still lurk on the site here, but will mostly be using the BOC site from now on...its been a blast being a member of the AMC community!!

One of these days both of your Spirits will have a reunion. Could even be next summer!

I just stumbled upon this forum and the building of this Spirit. It looked familiar as I clicked through. I now own this car in Michigan and it is currently in my garage getting a 360 swap. how crazy to stumble on this.

Welcome to the Forum....
I know the previous owner and the car well. I sold him a bunch of parts off a Concord I was parting out.

Its a small world in the antique car business and even smaller dealing with AMC's.
