Hi guys,
I want to top of some fluid my 65 rambler 990H. The only fluid I have available to me is Castrol Transmax Dex/Merc fluid. Would that be all right, or should I go some place and get something else? Thanks, Jordan

As long as your trans was originally designed for Dexron, anything Dexron/Mercon will work.

Buzzman72...void where prohibited, your mileage may vary, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

Assuming you have an auto, I'd bet that the manual called for "A" fluid. I'm in the same situation with my BW-11 in a '67 Ambassador. My trans guy says just run the GM stuff. In my case, it seems to work find.
