Went to rock falls raceway last weekend for their annual muscle car shootout and set a new personal best of 12.06 @ 114mph. The weird thing is the car went faster mid day with bad air & a fair amount of tire spin then it did hooking up with good air. On the down side my t10 is dripping fluid from the bellhousing area now (hopefully its the bearing retainer thats leaking).

Great to hear Brek, 11's aren't far away
I wonder if it may be jetted a little lean ?
When conditions get hot and humid, a person should jet down slightly
due to the lack of oxygen in the air as it is displaced by water vapor.
So maybe if the car ran best in those conditions, and did not improve
when the temparature and humidity dropped to lower levels,
then may be it is a little lean and could be richened up slightly for cooler
dryer weather, when the air contains more oxygen to burn more fuel.
Best E.T. so far, sorry to hear it came with a "price", the trans drip I mean. Edited by PHAT69AMX - Sep/22/2008 at 8:22pm |

I was thinking along the same lines for carb jetting. If I can find a 2.43 or a 2.64 first gear setup I think I may go that route also. The way I figure if I had the lower 1st gear & proper jetting maybe it wont bog as bad when it hooks.
