Does anyone know what type sealer is used between the roof rail and roof rail stainless. Black Goo! What does everyone else use in its place? Seems similar to windshield butyl rope seal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you are referring to the stainless channel that holds the window weatherseal, not the stainless trim on the roof rail ?

Try the roll of black tape used to cover AC valves.

It's not butyl tape. The seal comes in a roll of approximately 1/2" wide foam (an open foam) slathered in a gooey tar type adhesive. I believe I have two NOS rolls left. One roll does one side and I believe each roll is enough for an AMX through a big Matador/Ambassador size body. Halfbreed, PM me if your interested and we'll talk. Mike
