Sounds like it needs a new ignition switch, the one under the dash on top of the column.
It has slotted mounting holes, You need to adjust for proper crank engine and run positions.
Try starting it with a screwdriver in the wire slot before you bolt it on.
Worth a shot for under $15.00 at most auto parts.
