I'd like to find a NOS AMC 401 camshaft. In hopes that chryslerpartsdirect.com might have surplus 401 camshafts, the rule is if you put a "J" in front of the AMC part number, that is what Chrysler did when they bought AMC. Does anyone know what the AMC part number is for the '71-'75 401 camshaft? Camshafts used on the 304 and 360 have different specs. That AMC cam number is 4486476. Thanks, Scott

Bullet Cams has an Ultradyne grind that they usually put on 110 degree lobe centers, that would be almost identical if they spread it to 114 degrees. All valve open and close events and lift would be within one half of one degree at .050, and lift within .005. |

If you are interested in 401 grind camshaft, I have had many made by Comp Cams after sending them an NOS one to duplicate, I have a quote into them right now to make another batch....just sent on Friday, just PM me if interested and maybe this can help pretty painlessly....
Thanks in advance, hope this helps.
