No, the 232 body and shaft are different from the 196.

I should add that I love the way my car starts on 1/2 a rotation. I love the no ping when I make a mistake and start in 3rd. I really haven't had a chance to try highway yet but have run a 60 for a mile or so with good results other than it appears to not burn clean at near full throttle.
