Is the T5 setup out of an early 80's spirit 6 cyl rear wheel drive suitable for use behind an 8 cyl?
I have the oportunity to pick up the complete setup in case I wanted to run a 5 speed someday.

Thanks

Tony

Depending on how you want to drive it. Even behind the 6cyl. they're questionable if you drive it spirited.

I wouldn't use the 6 cylinder T5 behind a V8. Not strong enough, & way to low of a 1st gear. But, I would pick up the complete setup. The bellhousing & other parts will work to install the stronger WC Ford T5. The AMC T5 can also be used to convert the WC Ford T5 to a forward shifter position that some people prefer.
