Today, I installed new pistons. Used my old crank after having it machined .010" . The rotating assembly was balanced within 1-1/2 grams.
Here is a picture of the AMX. It has the original paint and zero rust. It sat in a garage 32 years and then, 1-1/2 years outdoors with a tarp on it. The tarp wore the paint off the high spots...reason for the brushed on primer. This AMX has not been started in 34 years. I plan to bring it back to its former glory.
