    Posted: Jul/27/2014 at 3:36pm
I have a 77 Pacer 258-6 and am replacing the engine mounts and would like to replace the bushings between the engine cradle and the frame. I am not sure I am accurately describing the bushings. There appears to be four and they look flat, about an inch thick rubber bolting between the engine cradle and the frame. Can someone help me with the correct parts names and where would I llok to find them. I am assuming AMC designed them to reduce engine vibration. Thanks anyone for your help.Smile

I have seen what you are describing and frankly I have seen more bad ones then good ones and have no idea where they are available.

Although I have not had to look for one for years and even then it was not important if one was found and it wasn't.

IF I were to start looking for them today I would Start with NAPA which has a large vintage parts catalog as does CarQuest.
I would attempt to see a store counter guy rather than try something on line.
I would also try ROCKAUTO
and our
AMC VENDORS.

But I really do not know anyone who actually found any.
