Hey guys,

I'm putting power brakes on our 67 Rogue. I have aftermarket 7 and 8 inch dual diaphragm boosters and a bell crank from a 69 AMX I think. I know the bracket moves the booster up to clear the shock tower, but does it change the pedal ratio too? The manual brake pedal ratio is about 6:1. Power brakes should be 4:1. Some cars like early Mustangs use different pedals for power brakes and I always thought AMC used the linkage to change the ratio, but now looking at it I'm not so sure. What do you think?

The 7" booster looks like it might work without the bracket.

Thanks!

Well I'm confused. I guess it must have worked, but I always thought that the bell crank reduced the leverage/travel for the booster, but it actually increases it about 2:1. So if you add that to the 6:1 of the pedal, that's 8 to 1???
