Bet it was nice having the track to yourself to do testing and tuning.
Were any of the times best so far for either car ?

Think Reverse is the only time the Rear Band is applied, along with the rear clutch pack.
Exception being the rear band is also applied when manually in 1st,
but the sprag clutch does the job of the rear band for 1st whith the selector in Drive.
Wonder if something went wrong with the rear band and/or servo ?
Rear clutch pack is also applied in 3rd gear, Drive, so it should be ok if it still has Drive.

Understanding is:

Neu = No Clutch Packs & No Bands
1st = Front Clutch Pack & Sprag Clutch (auto)
1st = Front Clutch Pack & Rear Band (manual)
2nd = Front Clutch Pack & Front Band
3rd = Front Clutch Pack & Rear Clutch Pack & No Bands
Rev = Rear Clutch Pack & Rear Band

Interesting writeup to read here about TorqueFlite Transmissions, Converter Drainback,
Manual Valve Spools, Starting in Neutral, Reverse Line Pressure, and Broken Reverse Bands.

Found out the "revised" Manual Valve with the extra "anti-drainback" spool on it
is available as a Sonnax Kit #22771-09 for $29.57 and works in pretty much all TF trans.
Sonnax product line for this Manual Valve Kit is "Transmission Specialties",
not "High Performance Transmission"

Sonnax - 1 Automatic Drive - Bellows Falls Vermont 05101-0440
800-843-2600
802-463-9722

Distributor listed on their page is:
Whatever It Takes Transmission
Louisville KY USA - 800-940-0197
Charlotte NC USA - 800-940-0197

Called Louisville, they said they have (120) "stores" in cities across
the country, they just are not all listed on the Sonnax web site.
Check your local phone book for "Whatever It Takes Transmission".

Cool
