Super late 74 AMX came with flat hoods...they ran flat out of Fiberglass Cowl Hood...I have owned two original Snow White Cars, one with window sticker, I which I still had!! They had just removed that line itme on the window sticker, no mention of hood style!!

Hey there this is Larry in Augusta, GA, I recently purchased the 74 AMX 304 3spd positive traction with power steering and am about a week from getting it on the road. Front brakes have been completely rebuilt and working on back. All fluid have been changed out to include differential and transmission. Installed all new hoses and thermostat. Putting a new carburetor on it tonight or tomorrow. Hope to put new exhaust the first of next week. Will put some pictures on here when I pull her out of the garage and give her a bath.

I have also heard that some late 73 and early 74 models came with steel wheels with volcano center caps because the company that made the slotted rims for AMC was on strike during this time.

That's how Dickie's (dltowers) Javelin came as well. I've seen lots of '74 Gremlins equipped like that too. |

More like early to mid-calendar year '74 on those plain wheels with trim rings and center caps. My late May built '74 had 'em. I've never seen them on an original '73 or an early '74.
