I remember I was going to buy a new "levi" in 1973. Loved that car, but I was only 18 and couldn't get it financed.Cry

Read this thread with great interest. What super work. What is the status now, 73 Gremlin? Would love to see more pics and update.

Other than assembling the engine destined for it no changes. Mostly due to $$ and time constraints.

Finally pulled out the Gremlin from storage. I had to drain the tank since its been sitting so long. Since I had welded in a 3/8 brass elbow to the bottom of the tank draining was easy. Had a bout 7 gallons of stale gas to get out. I put some fresh gas in, charged the battery and fired it right up.

I put out a request for bucket seat mounts on the Facebook Gremlin group and had a set in my hands 3 days later. Since my car was originally a bench seat car I had to drill the floor for the 2 inside seat track bolts. Driver seat mounted, should have the passenger seat mounted this week. My motivation to get the correct seat mount is a new gf. She loves the Gremlin! Smile
