I have a 1970 390 for my project Javelin. It came without a flywheel. I have a 1970 parts motor - 360 w/ a flywheel. They have the same part number - but I read somewhere that the weight placement my be different between the two. My question is - can I use the 360 flywheel "as is" on the 390? Thanks - John J.

You can use it as but it will vibrate. How bad, is the question. The weight placement IS different. Each engine was balanced individually.

Can a machine shop rebalance - and how is that done? Does it require any motor disassembly. When I purchased the project the motor had been freshly rebuilt. It is completely assembled. - JJ
