Do note that the only reason the 72 has a different part number is do to the crank flange BW/Chys. So really any 360 Flywheel will balance to a 70 390 and therefore also the balancer. Oh anybody can build a rocketLOL

Many engines are "Detroit Balanced".
428 CJ Fords, 454Chevs and many others.
AMC is not different.
Why would AMC sell engines that the flywheel couldn't be changed w/o
pulling the engine for a total rebalance?
Read the parts book, you don't have to be a rocket scientist........
