Ok...thanks to both.

I did a little scratching, and found these articles below.  Of all the rear wheel Torqueflites, did they ever change bell-housing bolt pattern?

Each manufacturer that used Mopar bases transmissions had different bell patterns. (and their own name for it)
   AMC had several:
Audi for the 2.0L Grems and DJ5-Gs got 904 (no 909 lockups that I know of)

AMC V8 and post '72 inline 6.

AMC 2.5L (also the same as GM 2.8 aka 60 degree)

GM 2.5 904 with SBC pattern (same as many GM Marine motors) Weak unit but some Jeepers overbuilt them for Chev motors in CJs. (uses: Postal Jeeps, Early Eagles and '81 to early '83 Concord and Spirit)

Big block Mopar (used with adapter ring to SD33 and SD33T diesel motors in CJ10As and IH Scouts)

/AMC stuff

Then there was Mitsubishi RWD cars of the '70s and '80s along with Dodge Raiders and Mighty Max trucks.

Dodge slant 6
Small Block Mopar
Big Block Mopar
V10 and Cummins diesel (with adapter)

IH had there own V8 trans and also used the AMC pattern with AMC powered 6 cyl Scouts.

Some other exotics, but not as many as the nailhead TH400 (I think)
