Darn, I'm sad to hear that. I liked Mike a lot. He was the AMC racers answer to Ohio George Montgomery and George twin turbo Ford Mustang from back in the day. He was often at the AMC Nationals, racing more often then not. LRDaum

Sorry to hear that. Saw him race at Cordova in that turbo AMX. It was awesome.

He was tremendous guy. As the link you posted, someone said, if you couldn't get along with Mike.. you couldn't get along with anyone. I met Mike many years ago at one of the many AMC meets I saw him at. Probably at an AMC National. I was interested in the his engine Combo and we started to talk, and for years after it was always great to see Mike.

The last time we saw Mike he was with friends At the AMC Nats. His friends we not AMCers but if they were friends of Mike that was good enough for our group. We had a great time Sat Night at the Hotel after the AMC Nats sitting around the cars, sharing our food and AMC stories.

I will truly miss seeing Mike, so will my wife who became close friend with Mike. Our group that consist of my family, my friends and Every who met Mike thought he was great person. He will truly be missed.

I understand Mike had a strong faith and I hope that helped Mike and his Family cope.

Mike I will miss you at the Nationals.

Unhappy

A number of members from the Great Lake AMC club attended Michael funeral service yesterday.
There were a great number of friends and family and many testimonials of his friendship and kindness.
Michael was an active member of the club for over 25 years and was truly a fine ambassador for the AMC colors in the Detroit and the mid west.
