just wondering if a set of jeep gears would fit inside the front diff housing of an eagle. Was trying to think of a way for a limited slip diff for the eagle.

D30 gears from a CJ7 fit inside the Eagle housing. You need standard rotation, standard(also called long) pinion gears. Short pinion or reverse rotation won't work. However, there are some issues with fitting certain size gears in certain housings. Apparently, AMC used the same differential in all axles, but machined the inside of the axle differently for different size gears. I had my 2.73's changed to 3.07's in my front axle and bought a Truetrac locker for a Dana 30 and the installer couldn't make it work. A guy on the Nest, used a D35 locker up front that he did some machining on.
