BTW: The yellow wire isn't the resistive wire, the pink one is according to the tech service manual. -Steve- |

Yeah, the resistive wire on my car is sort of a fadded yellowish/pinkish/brownish color. The ones coming from the tach are very yellow and blue. I think maybe because they were hooked up all wrong and the "pink"one got very very hot the color changed.

My car seems to have a faded, yellowish, pinkish, etc one too. I guess maybe that particular colour faded badly.
