The 1962 Lockheed (or Bendix later in the year I think) master cylinder is a one year only unit. I have one that worked well in a 62 Classic until it was totaled. if you want it, it will be cheap. You can probably also have it rebuilt. Get a service manual for the car and inspect the wheel brakes (wheel cylinders, harddward kit, drums and shoes) and solve your problems.   The parts are probably all still available. I think that would be much easier than changing to any new design. Unless you are hotrodding the car, standard brakes should be adequate for street driving. Joe
