Any recommendations for a decent top-boot kit  for a '61 American ?

KEE top company does a lot of the convertible top kits out there, but if you look on Evil Bay you probably find another 2 companies  . I can't say either way on any of them , but I'm starting on a 64 American convertible , so I have been looking also. LRDaum

Any good trim/top/upholstery shop can make you one just fine.  There may be some pre-made ones out there for '61-63 (I'm pretty sure there are not any ready-made ones for '64-7)

74 Hornet Hatchback X twins (since 1977)
62 American Convertible (still worth the $50 I spent in 1973!) AMCRC #513, AMO #384
70 AMX 360 4-speed (since 1981)
