Thanks. Pretty sure it's a 3. I'll check again...

Do you know if there a way of knowing what car it came from?

I know this is an old post, but found a carb with no metal tag, and with a baseplate number sequence of D3FF DB, same as this one, so, can I assume it is for a 73 with a 360-401 4 speed?
TIA.

A '72-74 carb for 4 speed will not have the downshift linkage 'tab'. I can't tell from the picture what you have.

Hi guys, I've got a '73 401 Ambassador with the 4300 carb. Someone ditched the choke pull-off somewhere along the line. Can someone point me in the right direction where to find one? They left the bracket, but judging by the FSM, it's supposed to have an electric pull-off.

You may try Mikes carburators parts. Its not a choke pull off its call a idle stop solenoid. My 74 AMC had one.

I moved your previous post to the WANTED section, which is where it belongs, rather than tacked onto an existing topic.

Yes, you need an Anti-Dieseling Solenoid (same as an Idle Stop Solenoid).
