We just rebuilt the stock '69 AFB and now have a minor leak at the throttle shaft. It only leaks a couple minutes after shutting off the engine, not while running and it's only a few drops, then it stops. Is there a fix for this or is it worn out parts? It didn't leak here before the rebuild. Help!

Sounds like the fuel is leaking onto the throttle plates, and out the throttle rod opening.  Percolation, too high a fuel level, or a leaking needle/seat???

Thanks Roger, possibly the float level is set too high then?

Yup sounds like a stuck needle float set to high or leaking float causing abnormally high fuel level.   My original carter was prone to the exact same thing you are describing if it sat for long periods of time.  Fuel leaking past the throttle shaft "could" be an indicator of worn throttle shaft bushings but worn throttle shaft bushings on the AFB would not "cause" a fuel leak, may make leaking fuel easier to get by though and WILL cause a vacuum leak evident as idle problems.  Maybe pull a few plugs and see if they are carbon fouled? Other possibility is a leaking accelerator pump shooter gasket or a venturi cluster gasket?

I'll vote on the needle/seat, float as being the cause also.
If gas is coming out the throttle shaft, it's raining down from above after the engine is shut down.
