Quick question: Which side of the engine (327, auto, 1965), is the oil pressure sending unit located on? I am assuming it is the left rear (where the oil filter is, re: TSM), but wanted to check before I cut the wire to this too short (that's why this is on the elctrical section as we are getting the wiring ready to take the car back to the engine guy to have the engine put back in).
Thanks, guys.
Edited to add - another request from the electrical dude....where is the engine temperature sensor located? Our best gues is the left cylinder head.

For some reason I am thinking the oil pressure sender is on the top of the 327 back by the distributor.Temp sender is in the front of one of the heads, left sounds right.

Thanks, Kirkwood! I just need to know how long to keep the wires.

From what I have seen, the temperature sender is on the left (drivers side) cylinder head. The correct oil pressure sender unit goes in back by the distributor---as stated prev.

Thanks for the help in this chain. I am working on my 1962 327 with only 71,000 . The oil sender was hidden almost completely, by what must be the draft tube....
LOVE my 327 and 287...
