ANY ONE RUN THIS SIZE WITH A LOT OF HP
LOCAL TRACK IS RUNNING A HEADS UP SERIES AND THEY ARE  STARTING  A 26 8.5 CLASS
GOING TO BOLT ON A PAIR AND SEE IF  I  CAN PUT THE HURTS TO SOME FORD AND CHEVYS
3150 LB AMX WITH OVER 1000 HP SHOULD BE FUN

500 hp maybe all right, but 1000 HP may be a bit much for a 8.5 tead width slick.
Maybe call Mickey Thompson and ask their max recommended HP for a 8.5 slick ?
Have had success using 8.5 slicks with 400 hp at the flexplate.

I've seen those outlaw 8.5 guys run and they rarely get out of the gate without instant spin..but the do occasionally..LOL

if your chassis is set up good it will hook.. hell i know mustang guys who are running dot drag radial with that much hp or more and getting crazy 60 ft times. one of the guys on another forum just went 7.80s and over 175 with a 1.26 60 on 275 drag radial... you can hook on slick  are you going to run a stick or auto?

Dangerzone is no longer on this forum But i do now he is running a turbo 400 with a 6400 conv
and he said he is not going to namdra this year
