How good were those 70 AMX grilles that were reproduced - might be able to buy one but heard they were not the greatest - just looking for a couple opinions. Thank you.

I bought one there is a lot of flash and build up in between the slats and at the molding seams, I have about 20 hours cleaning that up I still have more finish work to do and paint for my grille to be nice.

I can't answer your question about this particular part, but my experience has taught me that the best way to avoid disappointment when ordering repro parts is to consider them as "cores" from which I can make a usable part, as JGRANTAMX did. Fiberglass body parts, for instance, can range from "pretty close" to "are you sure this part was made for this car?" If you happen to buy an FRP fender or hood that bolts up without modifications, consider yourself lucky - you've just won the lottery. The bottom line for me is, what other option do you have when the part you need just isn't available?
