At least they spin up a bit quicker. The stock low comp 6's don't need a tach. You can use a sundial.

That's comedy gold right there! I am going remember that one! 

My 18yr old son has a pretty nice SX/4 with the factory tach. We both chuckle at 4,800rpm redline.

My plan is to run it with a carb and the 4bbl offenhauser intake.
The engine i want to use comes without the electrical stuff and without fuelrail/intake and exhaust
