You might get by with that tire being a radial. But a Bias ply tire would grow to the point of closing the gap on the front side of your wheelwell.
I had a little more clearance than you with a bias et drag tire and it would grow and start rubbing at about 135mph.

It's got about 1/2" at the front and rear with the radial and I'm not getting anywhere near 135 mph, more like 112-115. I don't think the sizing is 100% accurate either, it seems like either the radial is smaller than 28" or the slick was bigger than 26", probably the latter. I've only dropped about 200-300 RPM across the line, should have been more like 500.

I still have to rust repair the wheel arches, so could make some changes while I'm at it.
I've finally given up drinking for good...........now I only drink for evil.
