Sadly that's been going on for a while and it's getting worse with aftermarket and replacement parts. It suchs buying an aftermarket part that's claimed to fit your application only to find it doesn't. Then they want you to send their defective part back on your dime. Angry

I was dumbstruck at the rate of failure on all these different parts... And... I also forgot to include that I had a Wix oil filter fail on me too which started giving me fluctuating oil pressure readings.

But the things that made me the most upset was the Redhead box and the Addco bar. Both were pretty pricey to have not work... I can handle the power steering pump or the bushing... But that Redhead box especially wasn't cheap!

Hey there. Thanks a lot. It's always going to be an ongoing project because I have a lot more planned for it. At least the lion's share of the work is done now.

Keep going with your Eagle. Don't give up.

Nothing important to report... Just pulled the Concord out of the garage for the Spring and finally got to drive it around.

After babying it around town for about a week... I recently topped off the tank and was pleasantly surprised by a 17.3 mpg number. While not very performance oriented... The stock 304 lends itself well to at least being an economical engine for a car that gets driven a lot. As much as I want something more powerful someday... I'm pretty happy to have the little 304 for now. It sounds good at start up and growls around town while cruising. It's just been a lot more fun to drive in general. I do not regret swapping out the 6 cylinder at all. 😁😁😁

Very nice project. I'm hoping to get similar mileage from my 304 t-5 combo in the Rambler. 16.4 MPG on the first check, but didn't really baby it..

17.3 mpg is almost the same as what I've been getting with my 304 Javelin (17.2). The car turned out nice!

It's a good combo... Especially for how much gasoline costs right now!

Thank you. I think this is the best I can get with a 500cfm carb. I'm tempted to try the Holley Sniper at some point too.

☺️☺️☺️

That would be fun Ollie but I don't think I can make it to Cordova this year my friend! Besides... I don't want to get beat up by the Road Warrior either!
