I've had a limited number of Gas tank straps made by the people who manufacture straps for Spectra Premium.

These are for '70 Rebels but may fit other years as well. I had an OEM set that was used for reverse-engineering purposes.

I will be picking them up tomorrow and will have pricing by the weekend.....stay tuned.

Reproduction Rebel Gas tank Straps. May fit other model AMC vehicles as well. I used a set removed from a '70 Rebel as manufacturing samples.

Custom made, for me, by the jobbing shop that produces most all of the gas tank straps for Spectra Premium.

Price per pair is $ 45.00 US$ plus exact shipping.

I ship via Postal System with Tracking # and full insurance included in the shipping cost.

I just heard back from a '67 Marlin owner who took the plunge and bought a set of my Rebel gas tank straps to see if they'd fit his car.

They fit !!!

So now I can accurately claim that my reproduction straps fit the following cars with the 20 gallon tank. They will NOT work on the Station Wagons with 3 row seating because those have a 17 gallon tank.

'67 Marlin
'67 Ambassador cars. (No idea concerning Station Wagons)
'67-'68'-'68-'69 Rebels all models (except Stn. Wagon)
'70 Rebel all Models (except Stn. Wagon with 3 row seating)
'71-'72 Matador all models and body styles (except Stn. Wagon with 3 row seating)
'73 Matador all models and body styles (except Stn. Wagons)

I am going to "assume" that they will also work for '68-'69-'70-'71'-72-'73 Ambassadors as well although that listing is not shown in my '68-'74 Interchange Guide.

Thanks!
That will beat the $65 and $100 price I found in looking for my Eagle SX/4.  Not the same of course, but if they were Rebel, probably more than that!

Congrats

Strangely enough while searching for sending units I found these all for about $40 shipped!

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=amc+eagle+straps&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=amc+eagle+tank+straps&_sacat=0

Sorry I don't know how to make this link active, if I did I would from now on.
Blessings
