Hey guys I just did the right side front suspension of my 68 Rebel, new everything including springs, when I put the springs back in I noticed that it looks a little off balance as in not straight up and down did I do something wrong, thanks Don

Double check to make sure the spring is seated on top of the trunnion and in the spring tower. The seats have a lip that fit over the trunnion and in a raised area at the top. As long as the seat is correct on the trunnion you should be fine. Drive the car... if you hear a bump under the hood that is the seat popping into place. It can't come out, there is nothing to worry about on top. Now if the seat isn't over the trunnion it COULD come off the trunnion. It won't go anywhere with the tire on, but it won't support the car and would be quite scary if it came off while driving. I've NEVER heard of that happening, so it's not very likely, but...

did you replace the spring on one side? or both?
also, some year/model combos have different springs left and right.... |
