Uncalled for, in my opinion. I understand that some people are purists and want originality in their own car, but an LS engine is more modern and superior in every way. I have 2 AMC cars with nicely built 360's and a Corvette with its original LS1. If the man wants to put an LS engine in his own car, more power to him.
That's your opinion and you're entitled to it but for me the concept is blasphemy   Once you do that is is no longer an amc.  Same as putting a chevy engine in a ford, etc.....garbage
An engine is just one part of a car. Can you change all parts of the engine except the block and not be garbage? Cam, intake, headers, heads, valves, rods, pistons, distributor, water pump? What makes a car still worth owning? OK to change wheels, tires, shocks, springs, seats, steering wheel? Is the worth of a car just tied to the block itself?

I did the Atlanta stop last year in my 70 AMX, will try to do Bristol and/or Kentucky Speedway stops this year - I live between these two stops -- don't have time for the whole tour this year, partly because I want to make the ECTA event in Blytheville, AR, the end of that week.

I ran on -70 from Terre Haute, IN to O'Riley Raceway Park. They were all going a lot slow than me, so I saw about a hundred of them.
