Have taken the Nipton road a couple times. Great drive, and as I recall you get to see a bunch of Joshua trees too.

i had a great time, lots of great people and cars. 69 cars! too many to properly see! weather was about perfect.

for me it's a quick 4 hours up from Los Angeles. anyone doing that drive, consider taking US 93 to Nipton Road aka NV-164, to the little town of Nipton. It's 10 or so miles from I-15 (Nipton Road exit). Google says 7 minutes longer, but it's a MUCH nicer drive, you get to skip some of the idiots on I-15, and the once-ghost-town-now-revived Nipton has a restaurant/cafe. you get to exchange an hour or so of beautiful driving for that much I-15 tedium.

anyways.

small but nice swap meet. got a better air cleaner and an AM/FM radio for my 68 American. Radio works! cleaned up nice.

got to spend some time with quality folk.

was nice having everything all in one place.

thanks to larry and everyone for putting it on and all the hard work.

I didn't see you there, Suzanne.  Which car did you take? I did see someone who I thought looked a bit like Matt, so I guess it really was him, lol.

Mountain passes should be nothing for that locomotive of a truck you have, Tony.

It's not the mountain passes, it's the snow on those passes this time of year!

Congrats on the 2nd place also Cam!

Ah yes... snow and trailering are not a fun combination.

I think there were only four cars in the 71-74 Javelin class, but when I bought my car it would have placed 5th, so we're moving in the right direction, haha.  The winner was a beautifully detailed '72 Javelin with what looks like a $20k paint job, so I have no chance of ever taking 1st when he shows up.
