W I start the car and put the headlights on the dash lights flicker on and off. That's the bezel, turn signals and high beams. I looked at the tail and parking lights and they light up normally. Changed the flasher ( I had one on hand and took a shot). Am I looking at a bad headlight switch?

90% of the time flickering lights is caused by oxidation on the printed circuit board on the back side of the instrument cluster or oxidation or looseness of the contacts in the connectors to the circuit board. Cars from humid climates like New Jersey get this worse than others.

The turn signal indicator lights, alt, oil, brake, and seat belt warning lights have nothing to do with the headlight switch. Those all function when the headlights are off. Their power doesn't go through the headlight switch at all.

I'll pull the gauge cluster when I get a chance. Thanks for the info.
