Rare INDEED !!  They only made 377 1968 Rebel 550 convertibles.

 no I didn't have any other info, I just did a quick search for 68' 550 Rebel Convertables and that's pretty much the only one that came up LOL

Rare cars for sure.

Yes it is, do you have any history on it other than what I was told?  It’s real close to going into the paint shop already. We’re going to keep it pretty much stock other than maybe a couple black stripes. Convertible power top works perfectly.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the AMC group. You are correct in that you will have the only Rebel, convertible or not, at 99 percent of the shows that you attend. Hope you and your son make lots of great memories with the car.
