Lift isn't usually the concern - max open spring pressure is typically the limit. For Scorpion, instructions recommended max 0.650" lift and 420 lbs. open, i.e. fine for most hydraulics or street solids. Solid rollers best to use stud-mounted rockers. "IMPORTANT: Maximum valve lift is .650". Due to 5/16" dia. attaching screw, maximum open valve spring pressure is 420 lbs. • Scorpion strongly suggests using .080 minimum wall thickness pushrods. The added stiffness will produce power gains and increased valvetrain stability and durability. " Hope this helps,RD.

i have found the 1.6 for 373 for a set and the 1.7 at 378 i know the 1.7 will increase the lift on the cam verses the 1.6 how much room before you kiss a valve ? lift wise

That depends on the piston cam timing and lift.
You NEED to check it. A soft spring in a partial assembly and a dial indicator can be used. |

The LS conversion works well and is capable of very high lift. There is a #750 spring pressure limit on them which covers the majority of builds. It takes some modifications to use them but they work well.
Using 1.7 rockers, stock cam and valve springs I would watch out for coil bind or retainer to guide boss clearance more than piston to valve clearance. Also, the stock spring pressure may not be able to control the faster opening rate with the 1.7 rockers
