How does the CS7110 set compare to the CS7111 set. It looks like the only difference is the gears are nitrided. How important is that in a 500 hp engine.

First thoughts are this is a bad idea.
If the sprockets are tough but softer, the hard chain rollers will deform the sprockets to run in smoothly in short order. The chain will see little wear and last a long time. If the sprocket is hard surfaced, the rollers may deform first or faster. This would quickly lead to the chain wearing out. This is one of those, has it been done, show the side by side comparison. Things like this cannot be calculated, too many variables.

The late 4.0 sixes have a camshaft bolt with a spring loaded pin in them. They will retro fit to the V-8 engines and it is a factory part , a bit a Chrysler Mopar factory part. Should work on the AMC V-8 not sure how many people know Jeep made this running change on 4.0 sixes. As what it is intended an anti walk cam shaft device. Now if your planning on using high pressure triple valve springs that may be another matter on a race V-8. LRDaum
