Glad I found this discussion. Last night, I found 2 little washers on passenger side floor of my Gremlin. "Wonder where these came from?" Found out when I reached over to wind the window down and the crank knob fell out in my hand. I can't find the little part that actually holds the knob on, however. I removed my driver side crank to compare (see photo). Is this little part available, or do I kneed to find a new complete knob? I see Help! has one that looks similar and fastens with a rivet-looking thing.

It's riveted in place. They tend to break off like your has or pull right out of the knob, like mine has.
I bet if you thread the hollow rivet, or find a self taping screw with a washer, and use loc-tite you could reuse your knob again. |
