I wish I had his knowledge of metal work related to auto body.

Plus, if all you have are stone knives and bearskins for tools, this work becomes mostly creative use of tools.

This car looked quite presentable in the pictures I saw before all this worked started. It goes to show what can happen when you dig below the surface and why restorations are expensive. You're lucky to have the ability to do all this work yourself because I see $20-30k in bills if paying a shop to do it. I wish I had your welding skills.

Fitting the replacement panel and stitched the bottom of the quarter back on. Might be time for a scrap metal run!

Cleaned up the underside of the quarter. Started fitting the quarter replacement panel. Should have that well underway this coming week.

I hit it with Krylon Rust Tough on the backside areas after parts are welded in.

I can't find anything relating Heid Industries to a rust preventative.  Got a link?

for lite rust I use a product similar to por 15 but much stronger I coat all steel with it before prime it works great form heid industries
