Looks great how it is Ollie. I like it alot.
Outline of USA somewhere and add the roads as you drive them.
Maybe best folded up in the glovebox.

Sure getting a mixed bag of responses.......Thumbs Up

The car being a base model there is no trim at all. Thats just to much white with nothing.

As far as Kieth's idea, I already have the "B" scheme on the 66 convertible, so i want something different.

I wish Tim had used the pictures with the wheels that are going on the car. Not 18's but 17"

I think I am going with the wide strip at the bottom. My reason for this is because the tires are a bit wider than the wheel well, about the same as the convertible, and that will keep the paint from chipping. I thought about protection film, but.......

I like the road but we will add a yellow edging to it. That makes it really pop.

As far as being a "purest" that I am not. I believe in keeping a drive train true to the mfg, outside body lines somewhat original, but thats about it.

We are at the Emerald Coast show in Panama City, FL. Saw 3 AMC's yesterday ........

Do it how you want Ollie! She's yours after all, and we're just a bunch of jealous AMCers looking at pictures!

I did the blackout of the door frames, posts and stationary back window frames on my 69 as well.  I also blacked out the back section between the rear lights.  I toyed with the black along the bottom of the sides as you show in your graphic but I opted not to do so.  I figured the black on the back, tinted windows, black on the door frames, posts and stationary back window frames, the black front grille and obviously black BF Goodrich Radial TA tires was just enough for me.  However, my car is not white so I see your desire for more pop.

Here's my car:

But it is your car so if you like extra black and graphics, do it!

No matter what, congrats, your 69 looks great.

"The 69" has been officially christened and his name is Road Warrior....

My trim man Tim did an excellent job.......

Got a couple of tuning issues to deal with. I am getting some stumbling issues on  slow acceleration. I am not sure if it is the carb or the vacuum advance. My HEI has an adjustable vacuum advance, I have never really played with that before. I will get it figured out. Open to any suggestions....

I am also having a speedometer issue. The needle wants to jump around at 45 mph. I have cleaned and lubed the the cable. I think the issue may be a bad pulse generator for the Dakota Digital dash unit. I have a Dakota Digital set up in the 'vert and it had the same issue at the same speed after about 40k miles. I changed the generator and it fixed the issue. I will call them Monday.

It is all really starting to come together.

The Rambler looks great. I sure you'll get a lot of thumbs up when your out in public. Enjoy the rides.
I'll follow these lines a little ways more,

Until I can find what I'm looking for.

With the pedal to the metal,

I'm gaining my speed.

Riding down low in my AMC.....

The Road Warrier looks great Ollie! Thumbs Up  The black stripe on the rocker looks good too. Can't wait to see it in person next year. We have a condo booked for CTC and Wooster Kevin is driving his Javelin AMX as well. Hopefully Buster (Scene One) will come as well. I keep bugging him about it. Big smile
