Worked on door and quarter glass today.

First thing I did was to insulate inside the doors and quarters. I used Low-E.

I used roll plastic for the moisture barrier.

Got the passenger side done.

I wish the tint was darker but that is dark as the law will allow.

I forgot to paint the armrests. Will finish up the drivers side tomorrow.

Next step is to move The 69 back into the paint room and paint the roof. It is in first coat of primer now. After that i can get my glass man John to put in the back glass and windshield.

Doors and interior panels finished. I must add the I replaced all the rubber on the doors. The u-track rubber that I got from Galvins was a good fit; Metro door seals , door handles seals, bumper and fuzzies from Jeff Kennedy. Happy with all that.

The 69 is moved back to the paint room.

Painting the top is next.

Enviously watching your build waiting to start on one of mine. How is the front end work coming? Quite interested in that part of build.

Seems as if progress has come to a big halt but its just been a minor slow down. Weather kinda took a bad turn, pine trees are producing pollen at a accelerated rate.....its always something..Ermm

Anyhow.......finally got the top painted today........

Had a big car show this weekend and i saw my glassman John and gave him a big heads up about getting the windshield and back window in this week.

I also had a long talk with Thomas my Rod Shop guy about my front end. He is having some health issues, which I knew about, but I didn't realize how bad off he had really been. He told me they about got his medicine regulated and he is just about back on track again. We talked about how we are going to make a jig for getting the motor mounts in the correct location. We are on the same page about that.

After the glass its on to more body work and painting. Plan on a quarter panel at a time.

Ollie

Decided on the hood scoop for The 69.....

It is 15"L X 11"W X 1.75"T

Got a opinion question...??????
The car is white with black trim. I am blacking out around the tinted windows, grill. between the back tail lights, hood scoop and a black stripe around the bottom. The back-up and turn signal bezels will be black too.

The only chrome is around the windshield. I been thinking about not putting the chrome on around the windshield. There is no chrome around the back window.

What you think?
